Right Before the Plandemic

Dr. John Reizer

By December 2019, Event 201 had already taken place in NYC. The world was about to be turned upside down by a fake global pandemic that was designed to introduce vaccines broadly to drastically reduce the planet’s population.

At the time, my novel, The Target List was new on the Audible platform. The story was about a ground-breaking cancer-curing instrument. WAND was going to change the world. The only problem was that big pharma was trying to kill the technology’s creators and stop the instrument from ever seeing the light of day.

One of the first reviews to be published blasted the story as a conspiracy book that put down medicine and the pharma companies.

Getting it 100% Wrong!

Do you think this reviewer still feels the same affection for big pharma in 2023?

Anti-vaxxers & conspiracy theorists were right!

I only share the review, years later, to point out the mindset of most people in 2019 before all hell broke loose.

The Target List — Novel : The Original Interview on Dr. Reizer’s Podcast (Summer 2019)

Before The Target List movie was even an idea, I discussed what I believed at the time was a pretty cool story I had put together in the late spring of 2019. The broadcast was months before the world plandemic was unleashed. But I understood when I was writing The Target List novel that I had to create something to wake up people regarding Big Pharma.

Thanks for listening!

The Target List (Audiobook by John Reizer)

Hi Everybody,

I know this has nothing to do with all the horrible things happening in the world. Still, I wanted to offer some levity to the readers here by plugging my novel, The Target List, that was made into an Audible audiobook last year and is currently in the final stages of being converted into a screenplay by MJ Palo. If you are looking for an exciting story to listen to this weekend, consider checking out my short novel about the machinations of Big Pharma. We are hopeful The Target List will become a full-length movie sometime in the future.

Have a nice weekend, and I would like to wish all the dads out there a happy Father’s Day!

Dr. Reizer

WAND is a revolutionary new medical tool that cures diseased tissues in human beings without the use of drugs or surgery. Ten years in design and production, the technology has a 95% success rate in curing most forms of cancer in animals and human beings.

The brainchild of 48-year-old Harvard Medical School graduate, Clyde Daniel, WAND (Wave-Altering-Nanoparticle-Disrupter), is going to move the profession of medicine out of the dark ages and into something that closely resembles science fiction. That is, unless the pharmaceutical industry, which stands to lose billions of dollars in lost drug revenues, can intervene with its hired assassins and destroy the technology and its team of creators before it ever has a chance to see the light of day.

The Target List is a medical science fiction thriller, a real pause resister that will have listeners hooked from the first chapter through the very end of the book.

Updates on Frequency Novella and other Creative Projects in the Works

By Dr. John Reizer

I know there are very important happenings taking place throughout the world and I assure readers that I will be covering them on this website in the weeks and months to follow. I have been working on NoFakeNews for eight years. It’s absolutely amazing how fast time flies.

I wanted to offer everybody a little information about what’s going on concerning my writing projects. That’s pretty much what this post is about. I hope you don’t find the updates too boring; they’re important to me and my family.

For the past year or so, I have been writing day and night; working on several novels and giving my input to another writer working on the screenplay for The Target List which we are both hopeful will become a movie in the not too distant future.

In addition to that news, I am fortunate to have been asked to participate in an exciting new television series that will be released later in 2020. The television series, NO VIRTUE, is currently in preproduction and scheduled to begin filming in June 2020. I am currently a co-executive producer for two episodes.

No Virtue was written and will be directed by MJ Palo and others. MJ Palo is also writing the screenplay for The Target List.

My latest novella, FREQUENCY, was published and released on January 11, 2020, and is off to an amazing start. Frequency has received very positive reviews on Amazon and Goodreads and was such a fun story to write. I have always had a fascination about life existing beyond the parameters of Earth and this science fiction tale takes a long swim in those waters; exploring the possibility that alien life could be sent to our world by an extraterrestrial species through a radio frequency that has traveled 2.2 billion light-years across the universe. It’s a fun, quick read that most people seem to enjoy.

Frequency was a busy book on Amazon in February 2022.

The Frequency novella is currently in production to become an audiobook on the Audible platform in April 2020. Allen Grunerud, the narrator of The Target List audiobook will be the narrator of Frequency. I will post updates as that project progresses.

Nine years ago, I wrote a very short story (Novellete) titled, TRESANTARAS. I have been rewriting that manuscript into a more fully developed novella that will be published very soon under a brand-new title. I will let readers know more about this project once it is published.

Thanks for reading!

An Interview with Allen Grunerud – Narrator of The Target List

By NoFakeNews

Recently, we had an opportunity to ask the narrator of The Target List audiobook, Allen Grunerud a few questions. Here’s what he had to say:

When did you know you wanted to be an audiobook narrator?

I had been thinking about audiobook narration for several years prior to retiring from teaching a couple of years ago.  I have experience in voice-over and commercial work, so this seemed a logical transition.

How did you wind up narrating audiobooks? Was it always your goal or was it something you stumbled into by chance?

I am relatively new to audiobook narration.  I taught theatre and English for many years; that combination leads to a love of language and a reverence for the spoken word.  Narration provides an opportunity for artistic expression in the comfort of a home studio.

Did you find it difficult to “break into” audiobook narration? What skill/tool helped you the most when getting started?

I use the ACX format to find audition opportunities.  ACX is the Amazon Audible production site that matches authors and producers and streamlines the business end of audiobook production.  It was not too long after I began auditioning that I began receiving offers.

A lot of narrators seem to have a background in theatre. Is that something you think is essential to a successful narration career?

I do think it is essential to be able to interpret an author’s words and be able to verbalize a character or mood.  Having been an actor and director for decades has made the move to audiobooks fairly seamless.

What type of training have you undergone?

I have my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Theatre and I produced and directed plays and musicals for professional, educational and community theatres.

How do you manage to avoid burn-out? What do you do to maintain your enthusiasm for narrating?

As I indicated, I am fairly new to audiobook narration, so the process still feels fresh and enticing.  New projects bring new enthusiasm and I love to explore a new book and work with authors.

Are you an audiobook listener? What about the audiobook format appeals to you?

I am an audiobook listener; it was my salvation several years ago when I was commuting to work.  It is an excellent way to catch up on “reading” without having to read.

What are your favorite and least favorite parts of narrating an audiobook?

My favorite part of narration is the interpretation and presentation of the author’s vision—trying to bring that to life.  I have great respect for writers; creation is a very personal thing, so I want to come as close as I can to make my narration fit the author’s intent.   My least favorite part, I suppose, is the technical end of things: editing and such. Also, I spend an inordinate amount of time re-recording in order to get the words right, get the sound right, get the mood right.

What would you say are your strongest narration abilities?

I guess I bring authenticity to my narration.  A believability. You never want the narration to sound like you are just reading a text.

What about this title compelled you to audition as narrator?

“The Target List” really piqued my curiosity because of its subject matter, its unlikely heroes and its suspenseful nature.  Once I began working on it I appreciated the economy of language and the very accessible and endearing characters. In addition, John (Reizer) is a very supportive and nurturing author to work with, which made the project a joy from beginning to end.  This is a terrific book and I hope I have done it justice.

About the Narrator

Allen Grunerud is a recently retired theatre and English educator. He brings a love of literature and a reverence for the spoken word to his work.

Bringing characters’ stories to life has been Allen’s primary goal; each new challenge becomes his new passion. Allen holds himself to rigorously high production standards in order to deliver a product worthy of an author’s vision.

The Target List Audiobook Review by Author L.S. Fellows

By L.S. Fellows, Author

The story begins with a “doctor” casting a wand over a young girl and curing her of a terminal disease. But it is some time before Clyde Daniel and his associate Donna are ready to share their breakthrough with the world.

However, it seems the world – or rather Big Pharma – is neither ready nor willing to accept this new radio wave technology. Many among us would query their hesitancy. Why would anyone not welcome such technology? Isn’t the point of Big Pharma to find cures for those pernicious diseases? Of course it is. But, such ‘cures’ come at a price – the cost of research is reflected in the amount charged for any new wonder drug.

Now, if patients no longer need to take daily medication to ease their pain and suffering as a result of chronic illness and diseases, then the demand for such pills and potions becomes redundant.

Oops!

Could big pharmaceutical companies be holding out against cures for today’s killer diseases? Is it all about money after all?

The short chapters really keep the pace taut and tense in this thought-provoking story. The narration adds to the tension, the personality of the main characters comes through, as does excitement for the wand’s potential in regards to the future of healthcare.

I could happily have listened to more about the characters and the conspiracies they face in bringing the wand to market, but I have to admit that the brevity of the story delivers the desired shock factor. It certainly had me thinking about the role of Big Pharma and the drugs industry and made me ever more thankful for European healthcare systems on which I currently rely. That said, if only there really could be something available like the wand … how amazing would that be?

Highly recommended for fans of medical thrillers: sharp, pacy and thought-provoking.
