My Reasons for Writing The Target List Novel in 2019

Dr. John Reizer

In the late spring of 2019, I began writing a novel that I had wanted to write for many years. I didn’t know exactly how I was going to write the story at the time because it was a project that represented, in my mind, a daunting task.

The Target List was not going to be one of those novels that just took its readers for an entertaining ride. It was my intention right from the start to make the story a truthful revelation of what was happening in the field of medicine at the hands of big pharma.

In 2007, I had the pleasure of meeting a gifted healer and author named Andreas Moritz. I took care of Andreas in my private practice and we had many great conversations about the cancer industry and how the controlling powers didn’t want cancer cured.

Andreas was famous. His books and other writings were translated into many languages. He was writing important things in academia about eradicating cancers naturally that began getting serious attention from major university systems.

Andreas was murdered because he was a credible threat to an industry that was too big and powerful to cross. Andreas died from pneumonia. I remember his wife telling me that he had been assassinated by big pharma.

As the years passed, I began to realize that what had happened to my friend was commonplace, and many other physicians, healers, and scientists had faced similar fates at the hands of the same powerful organizations.

Something told me to write The Target List story in 2019. That something explained to me that the novel would, through time, become famous. I was told that a significant event was going to take place in health care very soon, so the book had to be written immediately.

I was instructed to write the story and self-publish it as soon as possible. So, in the spring of 2019, I began writing the book.

In the summer of 2019, The Target List was published on the Amazon platform. It would later become an audiobook on the Audible platform, a screenplay, a pilot movie released on Amazon Prime, and now it has become a feature film.

We are about to tell an important story, and it is no coincidence that you are learning about NoFakeNews and the movie at this time. Target List, the feature film, will be watched broadly, and together we are going to help awaken a world that has been sleeping for far too long.

The Target List (Audiobook by John Reizer)

Hi Everybody,

I know this has nothing to do with all the horrible things happening in the world. Still, I wanted to offer some levity to the readers here by plugging my novel, The Target List, that was made into an Audible audiobook last year and is currently in the final stages of being converted into a screenplay by MJ Palo. If you are looking for an exciting story to listen to this weekend, consider checking out my short novel about the machinations of Big Pharma. We are hopeful The Target List will become a full-length movie sometime in the future.

Have a nice weekend, and I would like to wish all the dads out there a happy Father’s Day!

Dr. Reizer

WAND is a revolutionary new medical tool that cures diseased tissues in human beings without the use of drugs or surgery. Ten years in design and production, the technology has a 95% success rate in curing most forms of cancer in animals and human beings.

The brainchild of 48-year-old Harvard Medical School graduate, Clyde Daniel, WAND (Wave-Altering-Nanoparticle-Disrupter), is going to move the profession of medicine out of the dark ages and into something that closely resembles science fiction. That is, unless the pharmaceutical industry, which stands to lose billions of dollars in lost drug revenues, can intervene with its hired assassins and destroy the technology and its team of creators before it ever has a chance to see the light of day.

The Target List is a medical science fiction thriller, a real pause resister that will have listeners hooked from the first chapter through the very end of the book.

Updates on Frequency Novella and other Creative Projects in the Works

By Dr. John Reizer

I know there are very important happenings taking place throughout the world and I assure readers that I will be covering them on this website in the weeks and months to follow. I have been working on NoFakeNews for eight years. It’s absolutely amazing how fast time flies.

I wanted to offer everybody a little information about what’s going on concerning my writing projects. That’s pretty much what this post is about. I hope you don’t find the updates too boring; they’re important to me and my family.

For the past year or so, I have been writing day and night; working on several novels and giving my input to another writer working on the screenplay for The Target List which we are both hopeful will become a movie in the not too distant future.

In addition to that news, I am fortunate to have been asked to participate in an exciting new television series that will be released later in 2020. The television series, NO VIRTUE, is currently in preproduction and scheduled to begin filming in June 2020. I am currently a co-executive producer for two episodes.

No Virtue was written and will be directed by MJ Palo and others. MJ Palo is also writing the screenplay for The Target List.

My latest novella, FREQUENCY, was published and released on January 11, 2020, and is off to an amazing start. Frequency has received very positive reviews on Amazon and Goodreads and was such a fun story to write. I have always had a fascination about life existing beyond the parameters of Earth and this science fiction tale takes a long swim in those waters; exploring the possibility that alien life could be sent to our world by an extraterrestrial species through a radio frequency that has traveled 2.2 billion light-years across the universe. It’s a fun, quick read that most people seem to enjoy.

Frequency was a busy book on Amazon in February 2022.

The Frequency novella is currently in production to become an audiobook on the Audible platform in April 2020. Allen Grunerud, the narrator of The Target List audiobook will be the narrator of Frequency. I will post updates as that project progresses.

Nine years ago, I wrote a very short story (Novellete) titled, TRESANTARAS. I have been rewriting that manuscript into a more fully developed novella that will be published very soon under a brand-new title. I will let readers know more about this project once it is published.

Thanks for reading!

The Target List Audiobook Tour: Author Interview

Q&A with Author John Reizer
  • Tell us about the process of turning your book into an audiobook.
    • After writing The Target List, I believed the story was really special. I had a gut feeling this short novella would make a great audiobook. I am so happy I acted on my feelings because I believe the final product turned out wonderfully.
  • Do you believe certain types of writing translate better into audiobook format?
    • I do believe certain writing styles probably translate better into audiobooks than others. I think thrillers, for example, are a natural fit for audiobooks. It’s the type of audio content that can grab hold of listeners and never let them go.
  • Was a possible audiobook recording something you were conscious of while writing?
    • I think about half way through the writing of the book, I felt the story would make a good audiobook.
  • How did you select your narrator?
    • After I became affiliated with ACX, the company that produced the audiobook, I held auditions for the project. As soon as I heard Allen Grunerud’s audition track, I knew he would become the narrator for The Target List.
  • How closely did you work with your narrator before and during the recording process? Did you give them any pronunciation tips or special insight into the characters?
    • We had several conversations about the book’s production. But in all honesty, I let Allen do his thing. I believed he had a good feel for what I had written and genuinely liked the story and most importantly, believed in the characters and what they were trying to bring to fruition.
  • Was there any real life inspiration behind your writing?
    • There’s plenty of real life inspiration associated with the story. There’s a lot of truthful content embedded within the fictional construct of The target List plot. I think that’s one of the things that makes the story so special and so important for readers and listeners.
  • How do you manage to avoid burn-out? What do you do to maintain your enthusiasm for writing?
    • I believe it’s natural for all writers to have a form of writer’s block or burn-out from time to time. Personally, I try to write something each day whether I am involved with a specific project or not. This keeps me actively engaged with the creative part of my brain and limits the episodes of not being productive from a writing standpoint.
    • Most of the things I write about come from the experiences I’ve acquired throughout my 56 years of life. Like a lot of writers, I draw from those things that have affected me, and turn them into blog posts and sometimes fictional stories.
    • If I am really drawing a blank about something, I go for a long walk in my neighborhood. I find that this seems to work pretty well. Sometimes, pushing back from the keyboard for an hour or so allows my mind to reset, and when I return the writer’s block is no longer an issue.
  • Are you an audiobook listener? What about the audiobook format appeals to you?
    • I am new to audiobooks, but I really like them. It’s nice to be able to listen to a story while driving in the car or relaxing at home on the couch. It’s a very relaxing way to enjoy a great book.
  • Is there a particular part of this story that you feel is more resonating in the audiobook performance than in the book format?
    • I think the chapter in the book that takes place at the gas station, with the rocket launcher plays very well in the audio version. Allen did a great job with the entire book, but that chapter is one of my favorites.
  • How did you celebrate after finishing this novel?
    • I went out to dinner with my wife and daughter.
Guest Post
Author John Reizer’s Reasons to listen to this book:

My most recent novel, The Target List was written and recorded with the dual intention to entertain its listeners while teaching them about the many machinations currently taking place within organized medicine and through its handler, the pharmaceutical industry.

This book delves into a subject that most authors would probably steer away from. But one of the great things about being an indie author is that you have the creative freedom to do what you want.

The Target List is an important book, in my opinion, because it exposes listeners to certain truths embedded within a fictional construct that they wouldn’t otherwise be exposed to.

The idea for the book was borne out of my deep desire to educate healthcare consumers about these concepts and to do so through a fictional plot so that listeners would actually absorb the material and not be concerned that it was too far removed from the conventional paradigms that have been etched into our collective psyche.

A THOUGHT – PROVOKING STORY

FIVE STARS!

The short chapters really kept the pace taut and tense in this thought provoking story. Could big pharmaceutical companies be holding out against cures for today’s killer diseases? Is it all about money after all?
A most interesting story.

STRONG NARRATION

FIVE STARS

This was a nicely narrated book by Mr. Grunerud and a cleverly written story by Dr. John Reizer. The book was entertaining and also very educational at the same time.

I was issued a free copy of the audiobook in exchange for an unbiased review.

AN ACTION PACKED STORY!

FIVE STARS

The Target List has action from start to finish. I loved the story. It’s about a team of doctors that invented a medical device that cures cancer without drugs. Big Pharma hires assassins to kill the doctors and the technology because they’re going to lose billions of dollars. It’s definitely worth the listen! I was given a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I ADORE THIS STORY

FIVE STARS

I absolutely adore this story. I also admire how the characters are developed and how much the author can get the listener to invest in them. Wonderfully written book. The narrator, Allen Grunerud has done a nice job as well. I was given a free advance copy of this audio book at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

SCARY AS HELL

FIVE STARS

Dr. John Reizer is a great author. I have never been a fan of medical thrillers but this one pulled me in from the beginning and hasn’t let me go. The author is meticulous in his research and very crafty in creating a story that is believable and scary as hell! I was given a free advance copy of this audio book at my request and have left this review voluntarily.

THIS WAS GREAT!

FIVE STARS

This has action from beginning to end. Short and fast and focused, it acknowledges one of the current beliefs that Big Pharma doesn’t want to cure anybody because it would hit their profits. The author’s writing style is different from Robin Cook, but if you like Robin Cook, you will also like this book.
I really liked the narrator. He does a good job differentiating different characters.

I was given this audiobook free in exchange for an honest review.

A Well Written Novel

The Target List – Book Review

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I have always had a bit of an interest in conspiracy theories, and especially those theories that have to do with health and medicine. I am not an avid reader, but occasionally I will see a book that catches my eye and I’m hooked.

My good friend is a chiropractor in San Diego. She recommended an eBook she’d read that was written by a colleague. She immediately thought of me because of my interest in conspiracies and that’s how I found The Target List by Dr. John Reizer.

This book was an interesting read. It’s fast paced and once I started, I didn’t want to stop. The story is about assassins that have been hired by some black-ops organization (maybe the government or Big Pharma) to murder a team of medical doctors and their revolutionary new medical device that cures cancer with radio frequencies.

The drug companies fear the release of this instrument to the public because it would obviously threaten their lucrative pharmaceutical products. They stand to lose billions if the technology goes public.

The surviving team members have to scramble for their lives to save themselves and their technology because they are the targets on the assassins’ target list.

I recommend the story as a good book to read on a rainy Saturday afternoon.
