We are not know-it-all people who claim to be brighter than anyone else. We’ve developed our opinions over the years by listening to information from traditional news sources and applying critical thinking to assess what seems logical or illogical in those data points.

When I began writing on this platform in 2012, I wanted to create a place where like-minded individuals could unite and share alternative opinions about officialdom.

Hunted by an all-seeing surveillance network and powerful forces desperate to recover three mysterious data chips he is carrying, Dave Morrison, the bike courier, is forced into a futuristic city’s hidden underground tunnel system in an attempt to stay alive.
“Somewhere Between Rome and Home” is a contemporary romance novella by John Reizer that will be released on February 14th, 2027.
The story follows two characters, architect Nathan Wells and high-school English teacher Stephanie Bentley, who become stranded in Rome and stay at the same small hotel after missing two different flight connections back to the States. A shared breakfast sparks an unexpected romantic connection between the two.
Over the past several years, independent researchers have devoted considerable time and effort to examining what is often referred to as the “Old World Research” theory. At its core, the theory suggests that many of the impressive buildings, cathedrals, government structures, and engineering projects found throughout the world may not fit comfortably within the conventional historical timeline that is commonly presented to the public.
Many independent researchers have raised legitimate questions about construction methods, architectural complexity, material sourcing, and the apparent sophistication of certain structures. Whether one agrees with every conclusion or not, the investigation itself has encouraged people to look more closely at history and to ask important questions about humanity’s past.
I have noticed a growing trend that, in my opinion, is contaminating the discussion.
A number of content creators within the alternative research community appear to be moving away from the idea that these structures were built by a lost or forgotten human civilization and are instead promoting the belief that many of these buildings were constructed by angels, divine beings, or by representatives of Jesus’s Kingdom on Earth.

While individuals are certainly entitled to their religious beliefs, this interpretation introduces a theological explanation into a discussion that originally centered on physical evidence, engineering, architecture, and human history.
A more logical premise, in my considered opinion, associated with the Old World theory, one that was introduced years ago, as I understand it, was relatively straightforward. It proposed that another technologically advanced human civilization may have existed before our own. Such a civilization could have possessed knowledge, tools, and capabilities that have since been lost, hidden, or forgotten due to a recent cataclysmic reset event.
Whether or not the cataclysmic reset event was an intentional happening at the hands of someone human or otherworldly, naturally occurring, a one-time event, or part of a cyclical occurrence natural to our realm is still up for human debate.
The angelic construction narrative is a very different proposition altogether. It moves the discussion from the realm of historical investigation into theology.
Once theological intervention becomes the primary explanation for physical structures, objectively examining evidence becomes increasingly difficult.
In my view, there is little reason to assume that angels were responsible for constructing buildings that exhibit clear signs of engineering, planning, logistics, and physical labor.
Extraordinary architecture does not automatically require a theological explanation.
Have other human civilizations that walked the Earth appeared different in shape and form from today’s humans? This undoubtedly was the case.
I believe the genetic modifications of human avatars from reset to reset are a real possibility, and I believe the skeletal remains of strange-looking creatures and drawings depicting angels and demons, uncovered over the years and later hidden or obscured from human view by the “Smiths” and their museums, are evidence of this.
Human history appears to be filled with examples of many technologically advanced civilizations that predated ours that accomplished remarkable feats that later generations struggle to replicate or fully understand.
There is ample evidence, in my opinion, that many resets have occurred on Earth. For people to claim that one event occurred here orchestrated by the hands of the devil is preposterous.
This theologically infused narrative raises an important question in my mind: Why has the religious interpretation become increasingly popular within some corners of the alternative research community?
One possible explanation is audience appeal. Religious content often attracts highly engaged viewers who are passionate about their beliefs. By connecting Old World research to Biblical narratives, creators may reach larger audiences, generate more views, increase subscriber counts, and ultimately earn more revenue from their platforms.
I cannot know the motivations of every content creator. Some may sincerely believe what they are presenting. Others may simply be following their audience’s interests. Nevertheless, the result is the same: the discussion increasingly shifts away from evidence-based inquiry and toward faith-based conclusions.
This is unfortunate because the most interesting aspect of Old World research has always been the possibility that humanity’s history may be more complex than we have been taught. The idea of multiple forgotten technologically advanced human civilizations challenges accepted narratives while remaining within the framework of human achievement and historical investigation.
If the goal is to understand the past, then evidence should remain the foundation of the conversation.
Questions about architecture, engineering, timelines, and lost technologies deserve careful examination. Introducing angels as builders may satisfy certain theological viewpoints, but it does little to advance the investigation itself.
The search for truth requires curiosity, skepticism, and a willingness to follow evidence wherever it leads. It should not require replacing one unquestioned belief system with another.

The following is the gist of a conversation between a former national park ranger and an independent writer.
Billy, not his real name, makes his way back to me. I am seated in a booth located toward the back of the restaurant. He smiles before sliding into the seat.
I reach across the table, shake the fellow’s hand, and wave down a server to come over and get our drink orders.
“Many people know that large parts of the Grand Canyon have been closed to the public for many decades,” Billy begins. “Federal park rangers have always said the inaccessibility of these locations was due to safety reasons, to protect the lands, native burial sites, and wildlife.”
I nod while scribbling down notes on a pad with a ballpoint pen.
“Most folks accept the government’s official explanations and never give the subject any further thought,” Billy continues. “The truth, however, is far different from what is being told. Truth be told, deep inside the restricted canyons live large flying reptiles. They are enormous creatures with colors that blend into the natural landscape. Their wingspans are monstrous, their bodies massive, and even more terrifying, they can and do breathe fire.”
“You’re kidding me,” I reply, stopping my pen from moving and staring Billy straight in the eyes.
“I wish I were,” he replies. “The reptiles in the canyon have lived there long before roads were cut, cities were developed, and maps were printed and distributed to the public.
“The US government discovered these strange creatures long ago after numerous planes disappeared over the region.
“Search expeditions later found melted aircraft parts and giant claw marks burned into solid stone. Soon afterward, the area was quietly reclassified into a permanent national park area and given a restricted zone designation.”
The waitress delivers our drinks and disappears to a nearby table.
“Scientists have observed that the large reptiles rarely, if ever, leave the confines of the canyon,” Billy says, resuming his big reveal. “The creatures seem to have everything they require inside the winding cliffs and deep valleys.
“As long as humans stay away, the reptiles ignore the outside world.”
“What about aircraft?” I ask, scratching my head.
Billy laughs, taking a sip of his Michelob Ultra. “Air traffic is another challenging problem. Every flight path that once crossed the region has now been changed.
“Passenger jets and private aircraft are routed around a huge section of northern Arizona. Pilots are told that the restricted airspace protects sensitive government operations. Only a handful of military personnel know the real reasons for the restricted airspace zones.”
My hand is writing Billy’s words so fast that I’m getting cramps in my wrist.
“Every few years, a juvenile creature climbs high above the canyon out of innate curiosity. Radar stations are pointed at certain areas to detect such occurrences. Nearby aircraft are immediately given new directions without explanation,” Billy explains.
“And airline passengers never notice the creatures?” I ask.
Billy shakes his head, no. “Although some people might occasionally notice sudden changes in flight direction, they never see the creatures gliding through the skies just a few miles away.”
“It must be an enormous job keeping all of this stuff a secret,” I say.
“Keeping the secret remains an expensive undertaking, but everyone involved agrees it is well worth the expenses incurred,” Billy explains. He takes a healthy swig of beer and locks eyes with mine. “One photograph of a flying reptile could change people’s perceptions of the world forever.
“The creatures only ask for one thing: stay outside the canyon’s parameters. So, the fences were erected in the 1940s and have remained in place ever since, clearly demarcating the safety perimeter. The restricted airspace has never changed since its inception.”
I smile while writing more notes in my pad.
Billy laughs, then says, “Most people believe to this day that the Grand Canyon’s greatest mystery is how it was formed. Very few people realize that the greatest mystery is what still lives inside these now-forbidden lands.”

Two people climbed to the very top of the Empire State Building on July 1st and unfurled a banner that read: “When the power of love beats the love of power the world knows peace”
It’s amazing what these two people did to get their message out there on the MSM. Of course, the MSM commentators on most networks spent the entire time reminding the audience that this was a dangerous stunt (no kidding) and against the law (remember to fear authority).
Look, I’m not encouraging people to do dangerous things or to risk their lives to make a point, or in this particular case, reach one, but this was a bold move and the message, the most important thing, was for the most part ignored by the MSM.
The One-Hour Diner
Prologue
The police station was a well-lit building that stood out from most of the others. It had been designed and constructed over the last several years and featured a more modernist architectural style than the surrounding structures in the small Montana community.
They entered through the front entranceway and approached the reception area, announcing to the desk sergeant their intention to report information on a previously unsolved crime.
Renee Hudson sat beside Bryan Dawson on a hard, metallic chair. She hadn’t said much since they parked outside. Neither had he. They had been exhausted from everything that had transpired and were conserving their energy for what was to come.
The clock above the reception desk read 3:25 a.m.
Time had kept its promise; it was still moving right along.
Bryan, a handsome middle-aged man with a slender build and brown hair, exhaled slowly, his dark eyes drifting toward the glass partition separating them from the front desk. A tired-looking officer was rifling through some paperwork behind it, unaware of everything they had endured in the last hour.
Renee, an early-thirties brunette and easy on the eyes, shifted uneasily in her seat beside him.
“Once we start,” she whispered, “we don’t get to stop and change our minds.”
Bryan nodded. “I know that.”
She glanced at him, her expression serious. “I just want to say everything right.”
“There isn’t a right way,” he said gently. “There’s only the truth.”
Renee’s fingers flexed. “That’s what scares me.”
A door buzzed and opened somewhere down the hall. Footsteps approached them, and a plainclothes detective appeared in the hallway. He conferred with the desk sergeant briefly, muttered a few words to him, then glanced over at Bryan and Renee.
“Can I help you two?” he asked, his tone overly friendly.
Renee and Bryan stood up. “We need to report something important,” Bryan said. His voice sounded nervous and cautious. “It’s about a previously unsolved crime.”
The detective’s eyebrows raised slightly. “Okay,” he said. “Let’s step into an interview room.”
They followed the man down a narrow hallway, the walls lined with flyers for missing people.
The interview area was tiny, with a small table and four chairs. A small camera was mounted on a wall in the corner of the room.
The policeman gestured for them to sit, then closed the door. “I’m Detective Calloway,” he said, taking the seat across from them. “Take your time and start wherever you need to.”
Renee nodded.
Bryan glanced over at her, then nodded as well. “I’ll start,” he said.
He told the policeman everything that had happened as plainly as possible.
Detective Calloway didn’t interrupt. He took notes, his expression unreadable.
When Bryan finished, the silence was deafening.
Renee picked up the conversation without looking at Bryan and gave her accounts of everything.
After Renee finished, Detective Calloway set his pen down on the table. “Do you two understand the seriousness of what you’re telling me?”
“Yes,” Renee said.
“Yes,” Bryan added.
Calloway leaned back in his chair, studying them. “Why confess now?”
Bryan thought about the question for a few seconds before responding. “Because the guilt of keeping all this in over the past several years never left our sides,” he said.
Renee nodded. “We tried to bury it, but that didn’t work.”
Calloway exhaled through his nose. “There was a homicide connected to this case,” he said. “Your statements could reopen a lot of doors.”
“We know,” Bryan said.
Renee closed her eyes briefly. “We’re not asking for leniency.”
The detective watched them for a long moment, then stood up and walked over to where the camera was mounted on the wall. He reached up and turned on the device. A red light appeared on the front of the camera.
“Okay,” he said. “Then we’re going to do this the right way.”

What if fiction reveals the truths modern society refuses to face?
Truth Engines is a bold collection of science fiction shorts that acknowledges the hidden realities currently affecting humanity. Blending imagination with clever storytelling, these writings explore a wide range of important subjects currently impacting all human beings.
Science fiction has traditionally been a way for writers to discuss difficult ideas safely. It has allowed authors to examine dangerous possibilities before they become reality. Sometimes fiction entertains us, sometimes it warns us, and sometimes it says the necessary things that otherwise couldn’t be said.
These stories are not meant to preach or claim absolute answers. They are meant to encourage thought. They will hopefully inspire readers to ask questions about power, truth, freedom, artificial intelligence, corruption, media influence, medical ethics, surveillance, and the future direction of humanity itself.
Some readers may see these stories as pure fiction. Others may recognize pieces of the modern world hidden inside them. That choice belongs to you, the reader.
The goal of my writing is twofold: to entertain while also encouraging people to think more deeply about the systems shaping human life behind the scenes.
Whether these stories inspire agreement, debate, curiosity, or discomfort, I hope they stay with you long after the final page.

The police station was a well-lit building that stood out from most of the others. It had been designed and constructed over the last several years and featured a more modernist architectural style than the surrounding structures in the small Montana community.
They entered through the front entranceway and approached the reception area, announcing to the desk sergeant their intention to report information on a previously unsolved crime.
Renee Hudson sat beside Bryan Dawson on a hard, metallic chair. She hadn’t said much since they parked outside. Neither had he. They had been exhausted from everything that had transpired and were conserving their energy for what was to come.
The clock above the reception desk read 3:25 a.m.
Time had kept its promise; it was still moving right along.
Bryan, a handsome middle-aged man with a slender build and brown hair, exhaled slowly, his dark eyes drifting toward the glass partition separating them from the front desk. A tired-looking officer was rifling through some paperwork behind it, unaware of everything they had endured in the last hour.
Renee, an early-thirties brunette and easy on the eyes, shifted uneasily in her seat beside him.
“Once we start,” she whispered, “we don’t get to stop and change our minds.”
Bryan nodded. “I know that.”
She glanced at him, her expression serious. “I just want to say everything right.”
“There isn’t a right way,” he said gently. “There’s only the truth.”
Renee’s fingers flexed. “That’s what scares me.”
A door buzzed and opened somewhere down the hall. Footsteps approached them, and a plainclothes detective appeared in the hallway. He conferred with the desk sergeant briefly, muttered a few words to him, then glanced over at Bryan and Renee.
“Can I help you two?” he asked, his tone overly friendly.
Renee and Bryan stood up. “We need to report something important,” Bryan said. His voice sounded nervous and cautious. “It’s about a previously unsolved crime.”
The detective’s eyebrows raised slightly. “Okay,” he said. “Let’s step into an interview room.”
They followed the man down a narrow hallway, the walls lined with flyers for missing people.
The interview area was tiny, with a small table and four chairs. A small camera was mounted on a wall in the corner of the room.
The policeman gestured for them to sit, then closed the door. “I’m Detective Calloway,” he said, taking the seat across from them. “Take your time and start wherever you need to.”
Renee nodded.
Bryan glanced over at her, then nodded as well. “I’ll start,” he said.
He told the policeman everything that had happened as plainly as possible.
Detective Calloway didn’t interrupt. He took notes, his expression unreadable.
When Bryan finished, the silence was deafening.
Renee picked up the conversation without looking at Bryan and gave her accounts of everything.
After Renee finished, Detective Calloway set his pen down on the table. “Do you two understand the seriousness of what you’re telling me?”
“Yes,” Renee said.
“Yes,” Bryan added.
Calloway leaned back in his chair, studying them. “Why confess now?”
Bryan thought about the question for a few seconds before responding. “Because the guilt of keeping all this in over the past several years never left our sides,” he said.
Renee nodded. “We tried to bury it, but that didn’t work.”
Calloway exhaled through his nose. “There was a homicide connected to this case,” he said. “Your statements could reopen a lot of doors.”
“We know,” Bryan said.
Renee closed her eyes briefly. “We’re not asking for leniency.”
The detective watched them for a long moment, then stood up and walked over to where the camera was mounted on the wall. He reached up and turned on the device. A red light appeared on the front of the camera.
“Okay,” he said. “Then we’re going to do this the right way.”
Over sixty minutes in an isolated roadside diner in rural Montana, two strangers are forced to confront suppressed and traumatic memories, discovering that time, guilt, and truth are far more dangerous than the authorities awaiting them.

The police station was a well-lit building that stood out from most of the others. It had been designed and constructed over the last several years and featured a more modernist architectural style than the surrounding structures in the small Montana community.
