The Foods We Consume Might Actually Be Killing Us

According to many health care experts, it’s getting increasingly difficult to stay healthy due to the types of foods we continue to consume as a society.

Food additives such as Aspartame and MSG (Monosodium glutamate) are believed by many to cause irreparable harm to human beings. Despite the large number of warnings coming from scientists and doctors, large corporations continue to oversee the lacing of our foodstuffs with harmful chemicals.

Aspartame, a controversial artificial sweetener, has been classified by some doctors and medical researchers as a neuro-excitotoxin capable of causing harmful lesions within the human nervous system. Russell Blaylock, a retired neurosurgeon and former professor at the University of Mississippi Medical Center, is one of the physicians that has publicly stated his views about the dangers of this product.

Aspartame was introduced into food products and soft drinks, around the world, by the pharmaceutical company, G.D. Searle during the same time frame that Donald Rumsfeld, former Defense Secretary of the United States, was the company’s acting CEO. Later, Searle was taken over by Monsanto, a corporation believed by many to have very close ties to the CIA.

Monsanto, a developer of many controversial products, is a major producer of genetically modified organisms/foods (GMO’s). The average human’s diet is thoroughly littered with GMOs. It is certainly reasonable to assume that the large increase in the number of autoimmune diseases throughout the general population is directly tied to the world’s population embracing so many attenuated foods.

Based on statistics that clearly demonstrate a decline in our nation’s health over time, and a core understanding, centered on common sense, that altering the genes of various seeds could preclude the human body from being able to discern between a food and a poison, one could connect-the-dots and come to the logical conclusion that GMOs are quite dangerous.

Unfortunately, the level of danger we face, when it comes to GMOs, is unknown. Genetically modified seeds are protected from all forms of scientific research or review. Companies that produce these products have licensing agreements that legally prohibit the testing of their seeds by any scientific body.

In addition to GMOs, it’s been stated by many experts within the farming industry that patented herbicides and pesticides are to blame for many of the diseases people around the world are now experiencing.

We are certainly a product of the foods we consume and so when one takes a closer look at the true lack of quality embedded within our food supplies, it’s easier to comprehend why modern society suffers with such a high number of health challenges. It’s time for people to understand that the foods we consume might actually be killing us.

EU’s Smallest Nation Is Its First To Completely Ban Monsanto’s Toxic Glyphosate

The European Union’s smallest member country, Malta, has officially begun the process of completely banning Monsanto’s toxic glyphosate from the 122 square mile island nation in the Mediterranean Sea. Labeled a ‘probable carcinogenic’ by the World Health Organization, controversy over the use of glyphosate, a primary ingredient in the popular gardening product RoundUp, is a globally contentious issue, yet very few nation states have sided with precautionary reasoning when considering the continued use of this toxic herbicide and crop desiccant.

Usage of glyphosate is soaring worldwide, even in the face of vast expert and personal testimony that confers upon the risks to public health of its usage in industrial agriculture and in small-scale farms and gardens. In addition to being suspected of causing cancer under certain conditions, glyphosate has been linked to many other serious and chronic health problems, such as autoimmune disorders, liver poisoning, autism, Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s, inflammatory bowel disease and other chronic illnesses.

Furthermore glyphosate is severely disruptive to the gut microbiome of the human body, which is now being understood as a ‘second brain,’ responsible in major ways for regulating mood, the emotional body, our immune system, and influencing mental health conditions like depression.

“Glyphosate is such an effective killer because it gets into plants and prevents them from taking up their normal nutrients – thus starving them to death. Glyphosate depletes micronutrients(such as calcium, zinc, magnesium, sulfur and cobalt, just to name a few) which are essential for health in plant and animal organisms. Specifically, glyphosate interferes with the shikimate pathway, a metabolic function in plants which allows them to create essential amino acids or proteins. Without this pathway functioning properly, the plant cannot survive.

Although animals and humans don’t have a shikimate pathway, here comes the glyphosate problem: the bacteria in our gut (microbiome or microbiota) do have this pathway, and we are reliant upon this microbiome in our gut for our health, immunity and our “second brain”. When we allow glyphosate to infiltrate our system, it destroys our gut and subsequently our immune system.” [Source]

Additionally, it is widely known that misuse, abuse and overuse of agrichemicals such as glyphosate is a common international problem, as is highlighted in the case of Argentina, where agrochemicals are causing widespread and terrifying health problems for citizens, especially those living close to farms and agricultural facilities in rural areas.

With such an overwhelming body of evidence linking so many health issues to this chemical, it would stand to reason that governments around the world should err on the side of caution, which is a point also made by Malta’s environment minister.

“Environment Minister José Herrera has said that Malta’s opposition to glyphosate is based on the precautionary principle, which states that potentially hazardous protects should not be used unless they can be proven safe.” [Source]

France may be next in considering an outright national ban on glyphosate, indicating that we may be on the brink of triggering a global domino effect, hopefully allowing consumer and public concern to be recognized above the interests of multi-national corporations. If the political will to ban the risky chemical can be mustered by one nation, it can be mustered by any nation.

“The decision shows courage from government’s side as it chose to listen to the concerns of experts and individuals who have demanded that our fields, streets and gardens would be free from this risky weed killer.” [Source]

You’re Not Sick…You’ve Been Poisoned!

It’s absolutely frightening how many people are not experiencing good health in the United States and other provinces around the world. As a society, we are probably the sickest we’ve ever been and yet we are told repeatedly, in the mainstream news, that we are getting healthier because of the tremendous advancements that are being made by modern medicine.

The powers that be lie to us about the world’s economy, politics, history, science, religions, nutrition, medicine, vaccines, weather modification, genetically modified foods, and so many other important subjects. Why wouldn’t they lie to us about the overall health of the human race? The answer to that question is that they would – and they have!

You’re not sick! You have been methodically poisoned since you were born into this world. This subject is not fun for me to write about but it’s certainly important information that everybody wishing to have a higher expression of health needs to be made aware of. Sometimes the truth is very painful to deal with, but for those people that are willing to stare truth in the face, it might save them from a life of pain and suffering.

Reeducating humanity about anything is often an arduous task. We often become so immersed in the false reality we have been exposed to all our lives that it’s nearly impossible to remove the blinders that have been securely positioned over our eyes. The truth is out there my friends. We just have to have the strength to want to see it and the courage to make big changes in our lives when we are confronted with a truer representation of things taking place in the world.

 

Latvia And Greece Kick Monsanto Out, Opt To Ban GM Crops!

Latvia and Greece have opted out of GMOs, as are Germany and Scotland, as part of the new allowances indicated in legislation that recently passed for EU countries.

First Scotland opted to ban GM crops from its country, citing fear of GMO crops contaminating its food supply, then Germany followed suit. Now, both Latvia and Greece have booted Monsanto from their countries and banned the only GM crop presently allowed to be grown in EU countries, Monsanto’s MON810 GM Maize.If it wasn’t clear before, it seems quite evident that the tide is turning. Big biotech companies are losing influence by the day, and the addition of two more European countries in favor of banning GMOs is evidence of that.Under the EU law signed in March, individual countries can seek geographical exclusion from any approval request for GM cultivation across the EU. Every request to ‘opt out’ of GM cultivation has to be approved by not only the European Commission but also the company making the application, Monsanto.
As Sustainable Pulse shares, Greece and Latvia are the first countries in the EU to have had their geographic opt-out’s from growing GM crops accepted by Monsanto. Germany and France are only a few of the countries expected to follow suit and ban the cultivation of GM Maize within the month.

Just last week, German Agriculture Minister Christian Schmidt informed German states of his intention to ban the use of GM crops. His announcement came shortly after the Scottish government announced it would ban GM crops to protect that country’s clean, green status.

According to Professor Carlo Leifert, Professor of Ecological Agriculture at Newcastle University, the Scottish Government’s decision to ban GM crops is right and that “there are likely to be significant commercial benefits from Scotland being clearly recognised as a GM-free region”.
