Evergreen Cemetery: My Inspiration for The Missing Novella

As a young boy growing up in Lakewood, New Jersey, in the 1960s and 1970s, I had a pretty amazing childhood. I was fortunate to have picked some great parents for this incarnation.
I grew up in a town filled with pine trees, a community where the wealthy elites like Rockefeller and Gould held estates.
My grandmother used to take me regularly to play on the Rockefeller property, which was converted into Ocean County Park years later. She would tell me how great a man John D. Rockefeller was.
Well, NANA, as it turns out, old Rocky might have been part lizard and not such a great role model after all. 🤣 But I did enjoy my time there with you, swinging on the swings and feeding bread to all the ducks.
What frightened me the most in my early childhood was the cemetery that loomed at the end of the dead-end street I grew up on.
I remember it well. I often rode my bike up there with my three closest early childhood friends, the Auerbach girls: Ginny, Donna, and Dee. We lived on Spruce Street, a long, wooded stretch of asphalt that led to the entranceway of Evergreen Cemetery.
I convinced those three girls on many occasions to play endless hours of baseball, basketball, football, and kickball games with me. When you’re a young boy growing up on a street where the only kids your age are girls, your best friends become girls. And make no mistake about it, they were my best friends.
We also liked to ride our bicycles up to the creepy iron gates that led into Evergreen Cemetery.
Evergreen Cemetery
I can’t remember how often we went to that cemetery during my childhood, sometimes on bikes and sometimes on foot, but I know it was often.
Many times, we would walk into the woods to bypass the iron gates at the property’s entrance and venture up the long, stony hill leading to the gravesites.
From the highest point of the cemetery, you could see for many miles. And if you stood on one of the tallest gravestones at the back of the property, you could see the Atlantic Ocean. At least, that’s what the neighborhood kids believed.
I spent many days in my early childhood thinking about that cemetery property and have fond memories growing up there on Spruce Street.
Looking back on it all brings a smile to my face. It was a special time when electronic devices were not around distracting you from the more important things in your life, like breaking into a private cemetery.
My latest novella, THE MISSING, is partly inspired by those amazing times in my early childhood. I spent more than a few Halloween evenings inside Evergreen Cemetery looking for ghosts and other strange phenomena with those Auerbach girls. I miss them and all the great times we shared.

I went with my wife several months ago to hear and see Styx in concert in Greenville, South Carolina. This band still sounds fantastic. I first saw Styx as a teenager in the New Jersey Meadowlands in 1982 and then in February of this year in Las Vegas. Then I found out they were coming to South Carolina and had to see them again.
I love Dennis DeYoung’s song “Come Sail Away.” I have a funny story about that composition. When I was younger, my brother was in a band, and the group was hired to play a wedding on this lakefront property. The keyboard player was ill, and I had to fill in as the piano player.
Two days before the gig, they told me the list of songs I needed to know, and I felt comfortable with all but two. One was a song by Journey, and the other was Styx’s Come Sail Away. I thought to myself, how will I learn the piano part of the Styx song? The Journey song was complicated enough: Come Sail Away I felt would be impossible to learn.
I practiced the two songs for hours and learned them in time for the wedding.
To this day, I can play Come Sail Away with my eyes closed. I’m nowhere nearly as good at playing the piano in this song as Dennis DeYoung or the keyboardist we listened to at the recent Styx concert, but I’m not too bad for an amateur.
By the way, did you know that Come Sail Away was about aliens? I didn’t until recently, and I have been playing the piece for over 40 years. 😂

As I was recalling an executive order Donald Trump had signed during his first term as president to further gut federal oversight for genetically-modified organisms (GMOs), I ventured to a website I have recommended here before, FoodBabe.com, to research founder Vani Hari’s excellent reporting on the subject. Here’s what I found:
Ashley Hayes is a former business entrepreneur, patented inventor, researcher, and writer seeking to bring attention to the clearly-organized crimes of unlawful and corrupt law enforcement and fusion center personnel against innocent Americans and citizens worldwide, as well as crimes committed by military contractors via 21st-century technology, and to the pandemic of child trafficking by those in power.
The video above shows the original live CBS telecast of NASA’s Gemini space capsule re-entering Earth’s atmosphere and eventual splashdown in the Atlantic Ocean off the Florida coast.
This video, in my opinion, is an excellent piece of scripted science fiction drama. It had everything going for it, including suspenseful studio simulation shots, intentionally placed periods of satellite interference interwoven into the live feed, and real-time accurate tracking of the space capsule traveling thousands of miles per hour through the vacuum of space during communication blackout periods.
We’re continually reminded that Gemini’s onboard rudimentary computers always kept the spacecraft on course, and everything occurred with precision and accuracy. 1960s computers did all of this precision calculating? Really?
We are supposed to believe that a heat shield made of top-secret synthetic materials was painted on or affixed to the bottom of a tin can and that the Gemini space capsule made it safely through the Earth’s atmosphere without disintegrating into a pile of ashes.

Does this look like a cartoon to anyone else?
This is the same atmosphere that allegedly turns rock-solid space rocks hurtling toward Earth into dust.
It’s interesting to note how the picture interference in the video is sometimes present in the studio transmission as well as the shots coming from the ocean on the aircraft carrier ship. Remember, the boat was only off the coast of Florida, not halfway around the world.
The studio transmissions to the American audience were originating in the same building as the newspeople delivering commentary. Why was there any video interference in these studio transmissions?
If the technology had difficulty providing a clear signal to a television audience at that close distance, how did NASA and the television network maintain radio communications with the astronauts in outer space?
If radio signals can’t reach the spacecraft while the capsule is re-entering the atmosphere, how is it possible they can pass through the same blackout area and reach the astronauts when they are above that critical altitude?
The more one examines the historical records of space travel, the more evident it becomes how gullible the public has been. The idea of space travel is ridiculous. How can anyone capable of critical thought embrace or believe these narratives?
We’re at a point where the level of Internet and social media censorship is at an all-time high. And it’s being achieved through the widespread use of technologies that have been implemented to edit and hide online content, which undoubtedly influences the opinions and perceptions of humanity in ways our controllers do not find acceptable.

I have noticed censorship happening with NoFakeNews for many years. Search-indexing sites have delisted and, in effect, hidden my platform from its inception. But since the great COVID-19 lie was unleashed in 2020, the censorship and marginalization of my writings and others have increased dramatically.
I’ve had numerous creative projects outside of NoFakeNews that have been hidden from the public through censorship. It’s challenging to explain the phenomenon to anyone without being perceived as a crazy or paranoid person.
No matter how vital the information is, it will not be disseminated widely through social media nor anywhere else on the Internet unless the controlling powers authorize it.
Anyone who has a significant platform and successfully expresses content on that channel can do so only because the powers that be permit it. Keep this fact in mind when you observe what seem like alternative ideas and news stories getting significant airplay through mainstream media avenues
Everything and everyone influencing the members of society is carefully vetted. With the introduction of computers and AI software applications, the ability of the controlling powers to censor the outflows of all information is much easier than most of us can imagine.
Isn’t life a mystery? I mean you never truly know where your journey through the construct will take you.
I was a pretty weird kid in some respects growing up, in my opinion, compared to other children in my age group.
But in looking back, I was also normal in many other respects. What is normal anyway? Is it something that measures a person’s sanity or lack thereof or a mathematical equation that calculates where a percentage of things lie compared to others?
Besides communicating with an alter ego beginning in 1973 called Michael Morris, who gave me tremendous insight into how the realm works, I was self-absorbed in sports, more specifically baseball.
There was a time when baseball was the most important thing in my life. I’m not kidding when I write that I ate, slept, and breathed this sport.
In 1975, I played in the Little League World Series (LLWS) in Williamsport, Pennsylvania. My team won the tournament and before I was thirteen years old my life drastically changed.

That baseball game was televised nationally, and over a hundred million people watched it. I would write a book about the experience a few years later.

Ah, baseball, what a fantastic game. Often referred to as America’s favorite pastime, this sport requires its participants to possess exceptional eye and hand coordination, extraordinary twitch muscles, and a strong throwing arm.
Baseball provides spectators with nonstop suspense and many tension-filled scenarios, with short bursts of action in between. The tensions produced by the game’s progression wax and wane throughout the nine-inning contest.

A Civil War general, Abner Doubleday is often credited with inventing baseball in 1839. Isn’t it amazing how virtually no sports existed until the 1800s? What the heck did people do for fun? Maybe it’s hard to have fun after a cataclysmic event or reset!
Baseball historians disagree, however, who the real inventor of the sport was.
When you look at the game objectively, it’s damn hard not to notice baseball’s likeness to Freemasonry.

It’s getting close to the end of the year, a time when I usually reevaluate my interest in continuing NoFakeNews or not.
The attitudes of people, realm-wide, are much different than when I began this platform, and I honestly believe more people seem to be awakening each year.
Here’s how I see things as of September 30, 2025.
For as long as we’ve been alive, we’ve been told Earth is a ball of rock (one of many) moving around a star.
But what if the story is a false picture that doesn’t come close to resembling the truth? What if the ground beneath our feet is not exactly what we’ve been told?
Slowly, new information is emerging that doesn’t align with the promoted narratives we’ve come to accept. Words like “reset,” “reconfiguration,” and “smart cities” are being whispered by the few who control the many.
Is something coming sooner than later? Is something about to show its head that gives a small, but undeniable glimpse into the fundamental nature of where we live? Is AI a part of what I am referring to?

More than at any other time before, we must keep our eyes on the mainstream narratives being reported and be alert and aware of the language that will be used to explain everything that is currently happening, as well as the events that are yet to come.
