It does appear as though these melted looking stone buildings are everywhere, John. And what could melt stone? I doubt if a natural disaster could cause it. The only thing I can think of is possibly Direct Energy Weapons.
I mean look at those melted metal cars in Maui recently. And the odd thing being is that their surrounding trees were unscathed. What kind of fire comes through with such a fiery to burn and melt metal, and yet doesn’t even burn the firewood?
So, possibly DEW can melt stone as well.
At least that’s my theory. But who really knows all the powers of destruction the powers that be might hold!
