Happy Birthday, Chiropractic!

Dr. John Reizer

September 18th is the birthday of chiropractic. In 1895, Daniel David Palmer made the first chiropractic adjustment on a deaf janitor, Harvey Lillard.

I have been a chiropractor for 34 years, more than half my life. It’s been a heck of a ride and a rewarding career.

Chiropractic has allowed me to help countless people through the years have a better expression of health. Additionally, the profession has allowed me to be an educator, author, and practitioner of healthcare, and being a chiropractor has helped me to understand that most people in society have no idea what true health is.

I was most fortunate to attend one of the best chiropractic schools in the world, Sherman College. Later in my career, I joined the faculty there and became an associate professor of clinical sciences for twelve years.

I owe my exceptional understanding of health and biology to that institution and the many dedicated professors who played an integral role in my becoming a doctor of chiropractic.

Happy birthday, chiropractic!

    Dr. Reizer,
I have been to a chiropractor many times over the years of my life. The chiropractor I am now having adjustments on occasion is the best. My brother-in-law was so afraid of chiropractors, that he submitted his severe back pain to the medical doctors, who injected some kind of crap into him, and caused him extreme pain and he was on the floor with excruciating pain. Stupid, stupid, stupid!

Happy Birthday to the practice of Chiropractic! I have also been to have adjustments done many tmes. One of my favorite docs is Chiropractor here in NC. I kind of switch around between that and acupuncture. Both have been miraculous for me. It is so good to hear a person so happy with their profession.
