Our film addresses a well-known conspiracy theory within modern medicine that subscribes to the idea that the pharmaceutical industry is willing to hold back and even destroy healthcare inventions and discoveries that might help humanity have a better expression of health for the pursuit of monetary gain.

The Lunch Break guy says it exactly right at the end of the clip, ” We all know that restoration really means destruction.”
And, John, I was browsing through a book, “Cathedral” by David Macaulay that attempts to explain how these palaces might be constructed in the present time. But the information is scarce and lame sounding to me. One idea is claimed that to lift the enormous weight of the stones, two men would walk inside of a large wheel. It basically sounds like a large hamster wheel. 🤣
“Through its center ran a long axle to which the hoisting rope was fastened. As the men walked forward both the wheel and axle turned, winding up the rope.”
I mean how stupid can you get! And even if they could raise weight that way, how was it proportioned throughout the structure?
But they have to keep the facade going by offering some type of explanation. Even if it makes no sense. Although it’s still enough to make people believe. Just like the explanation of the horse and buggies. Even though it sounds ridiculous, people still will believe it to be true!
Lisa
You’re exactly right, Lisa! Writing about ridiculous and stupid explanations regarding the construction methods of Old-World buildings is all the narrative’s defenders can do now.
The buildings were obviously constructed using unique and sophisticated technology, not hamster wheels. 🤣
