Remember Fukushima?

Do you remember Fukushima? When this tragedy occurred back on March 11, 2011 it was headline news every single day. Fukushima was on the minds of everybody and we all heard the comparisons between what transpired in Japan and the horrible nuclear accident in Chernobyl many years earlier.

Four and a half years later we are, for all intents and purposes, not being told very much about the status of Japan’s worst nuclear accident.

Situation at Fukushima Threatens Entire World!

reizer3On March 11, 2011 the Fukushima Nuclear Power plants were crippled by a massive earthquake and Tsunami wave. At the time of the incident, much of the world was focused intently on the severe damage the large wall of ocean water caused when it poured onto coastal Japan. The salt water made its way inland for several miles and quickly destroyed property and lives.

As terrible as the initial trauma from the earthquake and Tsunami wave was for Japan, the worst was yet to come for the rest of the world. The truth of the matter is that the previous sentence still holds true today. The radiation that is being produced and released into the Pacific Ocean, by the completely destroyed nuclear power plants at Fukushima, is polluting the entire world as well as the planet’s food chain.

In my opinion, we are still not being told the truth about how much lethal radiation the rest of the planet is being exposed to. This news cover-up is being carried out so that the nuclear energy industry can ultimately protect its reputation at any cost. There are plenty of greedy corporations in existence that couldn’t care less about poisoning our planet. Their only concerns continue to be earning profits and finding more feasible ways to build new nuclear energy plants, in the future, so they can continue to produce cheap energy, regardless of the apparent risks involved.

Recently, a Japanese professor commented on how extremely dangerous the Fukushima problem continues to be for the rest of the world. Despite the grave situation in Japan, we hear very little in the mainstream news about the risks to our environment and seafood. We hear very little news about the radiation coming from Fukushima that continues to impact the west coast of the United States.

Radiation is odorless, tasteless, and invisible. Its effects on human beings, however, are not so transparent and benign. Radiation poisoning is very real and it accumulates in bodily tissues over time.

Fukushima’s catastrophic accident in 2011 has assured the rest of the world a major spike in cancers and radiation related diseases for many years to come. Of course the mainstream news will never link the increase in diseases worldwide to the radiation coming from Japan.

The most troubling aspect of this story is that the crisis in Japan will not end anytime soon. It is completely out of control and not fixable by current technologies that are available to scientists and industry experts within the field of nuclear energy.

What the Heck is Happening in Japan?

By Dr. John Reizer

You don’t hear too much news coming from our major media companies regarding the status of the crippled nuclear reactors in Fukushima. If this isn’t a concerted effort, by the controllers of information, to shield the public from the horrific events currently taking place in Japan, then I don’t know what else you could call such an obvious blackout of the world’s worst nuclear accident.

Just this morning, I read an alternative media post that reported radiation levels in Japan were the highest they’ve been since the accident occurred. Other countries, around the world, have been reporting similar stories about significant levels of radiation being detected in their air, soil and water. The Fukushima radiation situation is no longer just a Japanese problem. It has, most definitely, become a global dilemma that will, undoubtedly, impact the health and wellbeing of millions of people in the years ahead.

Unfortunately, radiation is invisible to the human eye. It is also tasteless, colorless and odorless. In other words, we could be getting blasted with toxic radioactive particles, right now, and we’d never know we were being exposed to anything harmful.

I am angered over the fact that mainstream media companies have dropped the ball when it comes to providing the American people with accurate and up to the minute information concerning this very serious accident. There’s virtually no mainstream news about Fukushima.  In a sense, the major media companies have minimized the significance of Fukushima. What has happened in Japan is not a trivial event. In retrospect, it has become, potentially, one of the most significant health risks to humans and other animals that this planet has ever dealt with.

In spite of the seriousness of this tragedy, powerful entities, having strong ties to the nuclear energy industry, continue to flex their muscles and have been successful in their efforts to prevent the major media companies from providing the public with access to news that could shed light on what’s really taking place at these reactors.

In my opinion, we are not being told the truth about how much lethal radiation the rest of the planet is being exposed to. This news cover-up is being carried out so that the nuclear energy industry can ultimately protect its reputation at any cost. There are plenty of greedy corporations in existence that could care less about poisoning our planet. Their only concerns continue to be earning profits and finding more feasible ways to build new nuclear energy plants, in the future, so they can continue to produce cheap energy, regardless of the apparent risks involved.

Because mainstream media has been compromised and is currently unable to report the truth about this and other issues, alternative media sources must continue to make their presence known while attempting to fill the news and information void created by traditional sources. I believe this is the only way to keep people informed. This is why I have created NoFakeNews.net and why I will continue to provide original content and links coming from other alternative news websites.
