I just finished watching the Amazon Prime limited series Shiny Happy People. It is an expose of the Christian cult teachings of Bill Gothard and the television reality series that featured the Duggar family on TLC.
I know a lot of people have been brought up to believe that their Christian church is a safe place and no harm can come from within those heavenly dwellings.
I can tell you from first-hand experience that what happened in the IBLP happens in other Christian churches.
I am not saying that all Christian churches are evil or corrupt, but many terrible things are occurring in many of these institutions.
I grew up in the Mormon church and was victimized for years. That group is bat-shit crazy! I was fortunate to survive.
I have been a long time visitor to this website and have wanted to share my experience for a while. After watching the series on Amazon, I decided to share the information.

Oh no, how did having faith work out for the world during covid? People unthinkingly placed their trust in governments and health regulatory agencies worldwide instead of demanding proof that the virus was confirmed to be real. Having faith and not relying on science caused a lot of problems.
People placed their faith in drug companies to rescue them from a pandemic and look what happened. People are dying suddenly!
Everyone always wants to see the proof to verify things are up and up unless we discuss religion and vaccines. In those situations, we can forget about validating anything, and it is permissible to apply faith.

Men wrote all Christian Bibles. Men have written all Bibles connected to all religions. Do you honestly think God wrote the words in the Bible and handed the finished manuscript to a person? What is wrong with you? Use your brain and stop relying on crap you were told by people who told them crap when they were young. Think, man!
You can quote Bible passages to me any day of the week. I couldn’t care less because human beings authored the writings.
Not all religions are cults. Christianity is not based on nonsense; it is based on biblical scriptures written and handed down to man by God. If you are not a Godfearing man or woman, you are a target for Satan and his army.

Thank you for having the courage to write what many others know but refuse to acknowledge publicly. All religions are cults, not just the iblp and Bill Gothard.
People spend their entire lives being manipulated by priests, ministers, rabbis, and others. For what? These people are no closer to God than anyone else. We come into this world and are introduced to different religious ideas and have no choice but to believe the information is accurate and truthful.
Religion is a money making scam, and all of these denominations are breeding grounds for sexual deviants, perverts, and other predators. I don’t understand how so many people can believe the ridiculous stories that have been passed on to different generations.
I think that religion is dangerous because it replaces people’s need to think. There is no thinking in any religions. It is all about faith and believing nonsense that you are told you must believe or face a fiery existence in some goofy afterlife scenario.
All religions were made to control humans by governments and different rulers.
The Catholic Church (Christianity) is the main virus and from there other variant Christian religions were created. Each variant had a slightly different view of the original nonsense that was written into existence by the Vatican.
It’s not just Christianity that is wrapped in lies. All religions are dangerous and have been the cause of countless wars and murder through the eons of time.
Religion is the drug of the people. There are religious addicts everywhere in the world convinced that their drug is the best one. It’s all nonsense!!!
