Longtime readers here are fully aware that “safety” and “security” are propaganda code-words for persistent-surveillance-so-that-you-will-never-again-have-a-private-moment-and-we-can-collect-and-sell-and-share-your-data-to-anyone-and-everyone-we choose-and-all-without-your-consent.

The 90,000 Flock “Safety” cameras currently deployed across the US are a perfect example of this.

YouTuber Benn Jordan’s extraordinary research revealed in his excellent, informative videos show how these latest tools of the surveillance state are not “just” ALPR’s (Automatic License Plate Readers), they are unencrypted, easily hackable cameras that are capturing everything from private conversations between couples at a flea market to children playing on a playground. Worse, Benn found dozens upon dozens that were — and are — livestreaming their feeds to the internet!

Benn shows us how someone with even minor hacking ability could, if he wanted to, see you in a parking lot or a grocery store — or your child in a park — via a Flock camera, capture all your data via the AI within the camera, and then hack your bank accounts, your medical records, your calendar, your family history, your address, and then follow you — and/or your child — home. And then . . . who knows?

Like most “security” cameras put in place within the last 20 years, these are not in our communities for “safety” purposes. They are for privacy intrusion and [very profitable] data extraction. And this extracted data is not only being fed to fusion centers and “real time crime centers,” but, of course, to the many [energy-leeching] data centers that are seemingly popping up everywhere. (Virginia currently has 320 operational data centers with plans for a total of 954!)
