The Concept
What if I told you there was a way to eradicate all animal and human diseases in a matter of minutes? What if a technology existed that could eliminate illnesses of any type in people without introducing chemical products, radiation, or making surgical incisions? How amazing would that be?
I am writing about an instrument that could heal the body using radio frequencies. I am writing about WAND — a wave-altering-nanoparticle-disrupter.
Who wouldn’t want such amazing technology in the world?

Target List is a story centered around a conspiracy theory within medicine that subscribes to the idea that the pharmaceutical industry is willing to hold back and even destroy healthcare technologies that might help humanity have a better expression of health for the pursuit of monetary gain.
When MJ Palo and I began transforming my 2019 novel, TheTarget List, into a full-length
screenplay; we decided to make several changes to the story. The primary reason for this was to cut down the expenses associated with the movie’s filming budget.
The storyline, plot, and anything else is fluid and ever-changing when writing fiction. This screenplay was no exception to that rule.
Having no prior experience with writing screenplays, I had to rely heavily on the expertise of my co-writer. I learned a lot from working with MJ Palo. Together, we transformed a good story into an even better full-length movie script.
After we finished the screenplay, MJ convinced me that we needed to shoot a short pilot or proof of concept film to attract investors to make the feature film.
Watching that entire process occur was a fantastic personal experience. When the pilot finally aired on Amazon Prime and other platforms in the summer of 2021, I appreciated once again the many talented people who had invested time and finances to bring the Target List story to fruition.
Target List was nearly canceled!
In August 2021, I became deathly ill and was placed on a ventilator for three weeks. I remained in a hospital bed for 95 days and underwent seven surgical procedures to stop internal hemorrhaging. I nearly died several times. When I awakened from a medically induced coma, I had to relearn how to use my hands and walk. Six weeks of intense physical therapy followed before I could walk on my own.
After returning from death’s doorstep, I expressed to MJ Palo and Andrew Arguello that we needed to do whatever was necessary to make this film a reality, and Mad Wife Productions made that happen.
Amazingly, we are now sharing Target List with the world. Working on this story with so many talented people has undoubtedly become one of the most exciting experiences of my creative writing career.

Big Pharma Doesn’t Like Target List!
Our movie is an independent flick, and the establishment does not appreciate the film, if you know what I mean.
Despite racking up nine and ten-star ratings on the IMDb platform, our film is still given an artificial score of 6.9/10. It angers some people in the movie industry that Target List (a true independent film) is a great movie and tells the truth about big medicine.
Target List is gaining a significant audience and getting an important message out to people worldwide — Big Pharma is not anyone’s friend!

I have watched Target List a few times since it premiered earlier this year. It’s a remarkable motion picture, and your production team did a fantastic job working with a micro-budget. The film was shot cleanly, and a high-quality result was achieved.
I have attempted to leave a glowing review on IMDb on three occasions without success. I publish the review, and it never appears on the movie page. IMDb, as you may have already figured out, is controlled by an industry that is not friendly to true independent projects.
The industry bankrolls any films portrayed as independent that get much attention. That is how it works out here in LA-LA land.
Congrats on getting the movie out there in the first place. That in itself is a significant accomplishment!

Wowzer!!! Target List blew me away!!! I’ve seen the ads for it for a while and finally took the plunge this afternoon. I didn’t know what to expect, but OMG, I was not disappointed at all. This is without a doubt one of the best independent films I have ever watched. Great job putting the TARGET LIST together!!! I also rated it a ten on IMDb.
Target List was produced on a shoestring budget: a little over a quarter million dollars. 👍🙂

I appreciate your feedback, Roark. Thanks for watching. I have not watched the movie on Roku yet. It plays perfectly on Amazon, TUBI, and the Apple platforms.
We have only received raw numbers from distribution for the first two months the film was released (April – May 2023). Viewership numbers take a long time to trickle in. Remember, at that time, the movie was only available on Amazon and Tubi for three weeks.
While I am not permitted to disclose official numbers without the permission of Target List LLC, I can tell you many thousands of people were watching per day at that point. We believe the viewership numbers have increased drastically in the following months from other metrics we use to measure the film’s performance.
We know that TL has been subjected to a ratings bombing campaign – an attempt to lower the film’s IMDb score. That right there will clue you in on the viewership taking place.
On TikTok alone, which has direct links to the TUBI Target List page, there have been well over a half million clicks. 🙂
What makes me smile is knowing that the visitors to this website are a big part of TL’s success.

Target List went over very, very well in this house last night. We watched on Roku and the audio was NOT synced at all, but that didn’t detract to the point where we had to stop.
The humor is terrific and really helps set it apart from other films delivering such a serious message!

The whole process of assembling this movie was magical from day one. I still have to pinch myself to remind myself that we got this thing made and in front of an ever-expanding audience.
