It’s been a bit of a rough stretch for me the past month, especially with my father’s passing back in late September.
I just returned from New Jersey, where we had my Dad’s funeral.
Sometimes, life comes at you very fast from many different angles, and you are suddenly caught up in an unexpected deluge of things previously not on your table.
That’s pretty much what’s happened in my life recently.
I have been battling with the US Social Security Administration for two years, trying to get SSDI benefits. For those of you who have had to deal with disability issues and the SSDI application process, you already know how complex a pathway to success is. For me, the battle ended recently, and I came out victorious, but not without a lot of stress and aggravation along the way.
In the future, I will attempt to write an article about my experience with Social Security and SSDI that might be helpful to others trying to navigate through those dark waters.
I must be honest with my readers; my head and heart are not on the website now. I have very little motivation to write anything at the present moment.
I plan to continue writing content here, but I will probably take it slow for the next month or longer. If and when you see more content being published, you will know that I have come out of my funk.
Thanks for your understanding.

😀👍
John, losing someone we love is always a hard process of healing that we have to go through. And unfortunately, other battles in our lives don’t stop because we could use a break.
But I am very glad to hear that your battle with the US Social Security Administration has recently ended victoriously. Although we can still be left feeling exhausted afterwards even if a fight is successful.
A little inspiration from @raresouls.only:
“A little sacrifice is noble, but depriving yourself of too much will only leave you depleted.
Take care of yourself. Self preservation is not selfish, it’s essential for living a full and happy life.”
Although I am pleased to hear that you will be still be popping in periodically. Because you have many fans and admirers on this site who respect what you do and have grown to love you. 😀
So, take some time to heal and come back stronger than you were before!
Lisa
I feel the same way, Roark. I could never have had conversations years ago with most people, and that is also true today. That’s why I started the website in the first place. We have created a community of like-minded people, and for that, I am grateful. 😃
John
John,
There is no other website I’m aware of that has the human touch that yours does. Where else can anyone get truthful, interesting news, the opportunity to by commenting, AND get a friendly reply?
It can be a lonely world for those of us in pursuit of the truth.
So John, we thank you for your friendship, if I may be so bold! 🙂
Thanks, Lisa! You know I appreciate your support! 😃
John
