Last weekend we attended Fall for Greenville which is the Upstate of South Carolina’s biggest autumn festival that brought in 200,000 people over three days.
This weekend we attended another Greenville, South Carolina event called Flatoberfest. Several hundred people descended on the local Shriners’ facility to exchange ideas about the shape of planet Earth.

If you think that everyone in the modern world believes the Earth is a ball spinning on its axis at a speed of 1,000 miles per hour while traveling around the sun at 67,000 miles per hour and moving in unison with all other celestial objects into outer space at 447,000 miles per hour, you would be flat wrong!
Flat Earthers (People who believe the Earth is not a spinning ball but rather a flat structure) were out in full force on October 22 and will be at it again tomorrow the 23rd.

Flat Earth theory has a lot of thought behind it and there are many people in the world who believe it is possible to prove our planet is not a globe. See the laser test below:
Two of the things I kept hearing from people at the festival are “space is fake” and ” the Moon landings are a hoax.” And on those two points, we agree with the Flat Earthers.

Regardless of what shape the Earth is, people seemed to be having a ball (we mean a fun time) at this unique festival.

Hi Lisa,
We had a nice day, met some interesting people, and learned some new things. What a great way to spend a Saturday. 🙂
John
Are you attending “day two”?
~Kenneth
I am not, Kenneth. I wish that I could, but my physical endurance at this point prevents me from doing so.
John
I was thinking that might be a problem for you, John.

Thank you! 👍🙂
John, it surely does suck when your body doesn’t let you do all that you want it to do. I have learned this past year more than anytime in my life. Between both my upper body and my lower body going out. And although I am happy to say that I have come a long way, I still have to be careful not to overdue it. So I understand completely about having limitations. It is so important to listen to what our body is telling us.
And my physical problems came about from just trying to do more than I was able at my age. I was trying to burn off a lot of frustration I was going through. I think that sometimes negative energy in the air can be contagious and spread.
But your ordeal came about in an abrupt very unfair manner. You were attacked! Although, you certainly have come very far in your recovery. You have to be incredibly proud of yourself for that. Positive energy in the air is also contagious!
It seems we are being tested on our journeys here in this simulation all the time. But it’s amazing what the human spirit can endure and overcome! And although we are always going to have bad days, we need to try to let go of the anger so we can move forward. And you certainly have had it in you to do so, John! 🙂
Lisa
I don’t worry or fight it too much, Lisa. I listen to my body and rest when necessary. Thankfully, I can rest during the week. I also get to do what I enjoy the most — writing. 👍🙂
John
And you can’t beat that, John, in brightening your days.
And it shows! 🙂 👍
Lisa
🙂
Thanks for the report back and nice pics. You look really good. Love the hat! You should post a new pic of yourself here on the site.
You are welcome, Sandy, and thank you for the compliment. 🙂
