Clyde Daniel’s Recurring Nightmare (Fiction)

By John Reizer

Clyde Daniel had told them the threats were credible, that someone or some big pharma group was still determined to get even with him for producing an instrument that cured all diseases through wave-altering-nanoparticle-disruption. It was a tool that had literally rendered all chemotherapeutic agents useless and obsolete.

Justin Ray is Dr. Clyde Daniel

The security company had assured him that the guards outside his residence would keep him safe.

But Clyde knew better. He knew those stalking him could slip past the security surrounding his property. He knew Big Pharma could overcome great obstacles, no matter how long it took.

He’d drifted off to sleep and was suddenly awakened by a noise inside the house.

Within a few seconds, he reflexively found himself standing outside the bedroom and walking down the long hallway clutching a large butcher knife. He was still half asleep and not yet fully awake.

Although the narrow corridor looked almost ordinary in daylight, at night, with silence settling into the space, it felt completely different.

The floor creaked as Clyde stepped slowly through the old home while the surrounding shadows cast from the moonlight outside stretched a little farther than they should have. At least it seemed that way to him.

When he reached the end of the hallway, he heard a soft click and realized that the bedroom door he’d left open behind him was now closed.

Uh oh, that’s not good, he reasoned.

Clyde stood perfectly still, listening for clues in the darkness.

A barely audible noise came from the other side of the bedroom door. It wasn’t a knock or the sound of footsteps. It was the slow, deliberate vibration of something else moving across the floor.

He called out his cat’s name, hoping for the familiar meow that always followed.

No such luck.

Instead, silence permeated throughout the house. The absence of noise lingered and grew heavier than the strange sound behind the door, as though the house was holding its breath.

Clyde made his way back toward the bedroom. With nervous fingers, he slowly reached out and turned the doorknob.

Inside, the room looked empty. Moonlight shone across the carpet, revealing muddy footprints that began beneath the bedroom window and ended beside the closet. He stared at the closet door, waiting for it to burst open, but instead, a whisper came from directly behind him.

“You looked in the wrong place, doctor,” a voice said. The assailant’s warm breath graced the back of Clyde’s neck, raising the hairs on his neck to their ends.

His eyes snapped quickly into focus, perhaps a few seconds too late, as the realization of his fate settled into his mind just before everything went dark.

And then he awakened in a cold sweat, this time for real, from the same recurring nightmare he’d been having for months.

Clyde Daniel trusted his intuition and knew something was wrong.

Although the WANDs were being mass-produced and distributed to hospitals worldwide, saving millions of lives, he believed both his and Donna’s lives remained at risk. He believed they were still both on Big Pharma’s Target List!

To be continued…

Target List – A Feature Film

WAND is a ground-breaking cancer-curing instrument that uses radio frequencies instead of drugs, radiation, or radical surgical procedures to restore health.

After many years in development, the device has gotten the attention of Orphium – the manufacturer of a top-selling cancer-fighting drug. The Orphium corporation isn’t about to sit idly by and watch its profits disappear.

Justin Ray is Dr. Clyde Daniel

Drs. Donna Sawyer, Clyde Daniel, Rachel Atwood, and other key employees at Gracie Technology are the brains behind WAND. The company’s new revolutionary healthcare instrument is about to transform medicine into something that resembles science fiction, possibly making conventional cancer treatments obsolete. The team members have all been placed in the crosshairs of a hired assassin.

Robb Russo is Mr. X

Target List is a high-energy, fast-paced action-comedy about the creation of a life-saving healthcare instrument and big pharma’s attempt to suppress the technology.

Our film addresses a well-known conspiracy theory within modern medicine that subscribes to the idea that the pharmaceutical industry is willing to hold back and even destroy healthcare inventions and discoveries that might help humanity have a better expression of health for the pursuit of monetary gain.

Good versus evil is the motivational force within Target List that ultimately drives the engine of this story toward its exciting climax and twist ending.

Rachel Alig is Dr. Donna Sawyer

Hundreds upon hundreds of modern cinematic productions have touched on the theme of good versus evil or the light versus the darkness. In Target List, the main characters are all directly affected by these same polarities.

The screenplay was written by MJ Palo and John Reizer. The story is based on the 2019 novel written by John Reizer.

Sometimes fiction is not an escape from reality, but rather the only way to talk about it.

    Intriguing, John! 👍😎

Pay attention to your dreams and nightmares, whatever the case may be. It could be your intuition giving you a message. Such as a message of warning, because the hunters never stop hunting.

Revenge is sweet to those who would love to see you suffer.

Will Clyde and Donna recognize the signals, so they might receive the energy barriers they need to survive?

In my opinion, I have faith that they will not easily fall victim to these criminal’s nefarious game playing agenda.

It will be interesting to see!
