During the summer of 1975, I was fortunate enough to be a member of the Lakewood, NJ championship Little League team. The game was televised for millions of people around the world and a snippet of the game was broadcast every week for several years on ABC’s Wide World of Sports program.
At the time, the program was one of the most-watched sports television shows in America.
At 24 — 27 seconds of the video (The Thrill of Victory) the Lakewood team (I am # 12) can be found. Someone from the website sent me this today. 🙂
I remember my parents on Sundays yelling to me from the other side of the house that I was on TV again. The clip brought back a lot of good childhood memories for me. I thought I would share the video with readers.

Last year Mad-Wife productions filmed and produced the pilot movie The Target List. The story is now going to become a full-feature movie that will be released in 2023.
The fact that the story is going into production at all is amazing. The serious illness I suffered last year almost prevented the movie from being made.
I knew when I was writing the novel it was a special project. After my brother read the manuscript in 2019, he told me it was the best thing I had ever written.
I can not overemphasize how happy and proud I am that this particular work is going to be a full-length film. I will provide additional information and updates here as they become available.

It’s a brief clip, but I am sure the sight of it brought a thrill to your heart, John!
And I read your book, “Once in a Lifetime” that you wrote as a youth about your adventures on this victorious baseball team. And the enthusiasm shines throughout your story!
Your gift of writing started long ago.
And your wisdom shined back then, too.
As in this statement you wrote at the end of your journey, “We must realize that we should never be content with where we are in life. We must always strive to be better than we currently are.”
