One week from today, on July 24th at noon Eastern Time, Mad-Wife Productions will publicly release for the first time The Target List movie trailer. I feel like a bit of a child waiting for Christmas morning to unwrap a bunch of presents.
It might not be easy for some people to understand my excitement at this point. Still, this pilot film represents the collective efforts of many talented people I never even knew when I began writing the novel back in 2019. That in itself is a fantastic fact, in my considered opinion.
When I first put pen to paper, or more appropriately stated, fingers to keyboard a couple of years ago, the world pandemic wasn’t even a thought in anyone’s mind except for perhaps the orchestrators of the psyop.
I wrote the story because I believed at the time and still do today that people need to know the truth about the machinations taking place behind the scenes concerning big pharma and their attempts to suppress anything that might potentially benefit healthcare consumers.
So, fast forward a couple of years from the summer of 2019 to the present. My novel has been made into an audiobook on the Audible platform and now into a pilot movie by the super-talented crew and staff at Mad-Wife Productions. Oh, and yes — a world pandemic occurred in-between all of those extraordinary accomplishments.
I knew The Target List was special when I was writing the novel. I had this strange feeling that what I was writing in 2019 would be important in the future.
Allen Grunerud did a fantastic job when he recorded the novel for Audible in the fall of 2019. We took some initial criticism from a few folks because the book painted the pharmaceutical industry unfavorably. But I knew from the onset The Target List would be attacked because of that reason. I realized some people would attempt to marginalize the story’s value to the public at large — this is commonplace when anyone negatively discusses big pharma, regardless of whether it’s through fiction or nonfiction.
Then I met the talented scriptwriter, MJ Palo, who co-wrote the full-length screenplay and transformed the novel into a movie script. MJ Palo’s association with Andrew Arguello, a brilliant cinematographer, and their coming together to form Mad-Wife Productions while we were writing the screenplay further convinced me that The Target List could be destined for bigger and better things.
MJ Palo liked our script and thought it had potential. She convinced me to let Andrew and her (Mad-Wife Productions) produce a proof of concept film/pilot movie. We set up a GoFundMe campaign and Mad-Wife Productions invested plenty of time and money into the project as well. The rest is history!
On August 15th of this year, The Target List pilot movie will be released on multiple on-demand movie platforms including Amazon Prime later in the month. But we’re not finished by any stretch of the imagination!
The pilot movie is currently being pitched to film festivals and independent production companies so that we can produce the full-length feature film next year.
I am hopeful that when people watch this film they will see the great cinematic potential the project possesses and they will share their enthusiasm with others.
In the two weeks the movie’s official website has been up and running it has garnered respectable visitor views and I believe the interest in the movie is due to the film’s subject matter and the timing of everything else happening in the world.
I hope everybody enjoys the trailer when it is released next week.
A CALL FOR INVESTORS!
We are currently fundraising for The Target List feature film that is planned for production in 2022. The full feature film — two hours in length — will be a high-energy, fast-paced medical-action-thriller about the creation of a life-saving health care instrument and big pharma’s attempt to suppress the technology.
