The Earth Matrix is a computer-generated simulation that regularly undergoes soft and hard resets, some of which drastically alter the parameters and physical dimensions of the avatars and the construct’s playing field.

It’s certainly possible that other technologies exist that could move large heavy objects, but have not been released to our current civilization by our controllers for obvious reasons.
