In the town of Robbinsville, New Jersey, a prominent Hindu mandir (temple) was built between 2015 and 2023. This building, for all intents and purposes, is a fantastic structure that demonstrates that modern-day technology and human intelligence are capable of creating Old-World Buildings in the modern era.

What this finished project also demonstrates, in my opinion, is that this magnificent building would have been impossible to create during any time period without the availability of modern technologies that were essential for quarrying marble stones, manufacturing steel girders, and transporting other essential materials to the construction site.
Even with modern-day technologies being utilized around the clock with thousands of people involved in the construction process, this Hindu temple took over eight years to complete.
We’re talking electric power tools, cranes, heavy-duty transport trucks, and bulldozers on the worksite every day.
There’s absolutely no way, in my view, that a building this complex in its design could have come to fruition in the 1800s or earlier, yet that’s what our historical narratives, which we’ve been taught, encourage us to believe about so many standing buildings in the United States and too many to count European cities all over the realm.
