It’s bizarre to say the least, Lisa, that everyone was so cavalier about newborns being showcased in what amounts to a carnival atmosphere.
If something like that happened today, there would be legal actions, jail sentences, and talk shows discussing the horrors of the exhibitions.

It’s bizarre the way babies were shown in incubators so care free at the World Fairs, John. It seemed perfectly normal to these people. I doubt if cloning was such a big secret back at that time. I think people’s memories have been erased. Or those that witnessed the Cabbage Patch Babies boom are no longer with us.
