My cat, Sansa, is quite the companion. She is by my side no matter what I am doing. Sometimes while writing on the computer, she stays with me for hours at a time. But for some reason on this day, she was determined to stop me from playing the piano. I don’t usually record my piano sessions, but the cat was all over me so I started recording a video of her interaction with me and the piano. I thought it would be a cute share.
Animals are so smart and intuitive. This cat has been by my side the entire week since I lost my Dad.
If you can make it through my terrible piano playing, you will see Sansa spring into action as I try to play a few tunes.

This video is one to put a smile on a face for sure, John. Especially if you’re a cat owner. I have two cats. And one is a love biter like yours.
He loves to follow moving fingers. And apparently so does Sansa.
Although there might also be something more going on here other than play. She seems demanding of your attention. Cats can be sensitive to our feelings just like dogs. Maybe she does sense your sadness and distraction of not being all there right now. And she is staying by your side. But she might also be attempting to wake you up! And she figures that a few nips might do it! 🤣
Also, John, I very much enjoyed the few excerpts of your piano playing that you managed to get in while you were wrestling with Sansa. It is so great that you have that talent. Because music soothes the soul!
